OK, so the first blog posting.
This is the long promised edin-blog, detailing the life and times of a young (well 30) traveller to Edinburgh. Yes, after 12 years in Southampton it was time to take off and head North. Quite a way North as it turned out.
And so it begins.
I've been here for 3 weeks now and as soon as I get a bit more time I'll write some thoughts. But I wanted to get the blog started.
So, this place is for you, my friends (if you're a stranger reading this, well I guess you're living up to the first part of word - but "Welcome"), so you can keep up and remember that once there was this bloke you knew called Nick. You might be thankful to be reminded, or not. But there you have it.
Responses people. This is my dialogue and here there are not too many things that we can't talk about. Possibly we should avoid all talk of Scottish weather. I'll just say that yes, it's a little colder than down South. But then we've got scenery. And lots of it. And mountains. And nice things. So you can always put on an extra layer, but you don't get too many cities with a mountain in them do you? So, enought weather chat......
OK more soon. Including what I'm reading, what I'm thinking about, what films I've watched, where I've eaten. You know, sharing life. Which I guess is the purpose of these things. It's all good.
PS It's taken this long because I couldn't get the broadband at the apartment working. Apparently the chippy who made a storage area didn't plug things in right. And I spent hours fiddling with connection settings to try and get the thing to work. D'oh!
Anyway, please send in your thoughts....
